The Friends of Kebyar and Tulsa Foundation for Architecture (TFA) will hold a virtual panel “Bruce Goff – Life & Legacy” with organic architect and former colleague of Goff’s, Bart Prince, and Professor Emeritus of Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania and Goff biographer, David G. De Long PhD. The event will be moderated by TFA Board Member and former news anchor, Meagan Farley.

A simulcast of the virtual panel talk will be screened at the Circle Cinema in Screening Room 4.

Barton Bradford Prince was born on June 24th 1947 in Albuquerque and spent bits of his childhood in Santa Fe and Española, where his father owned a newspaper, the Valley News. He graduated from Highland High in 1965, attended architecture school at Arizona State, and was back in the 505 area code by 1972. His great-grandfather, LeBaron Bradford Prince, was territorial governor of New Mexico in the late 19th century. Prince designed his first house while still in high school. A building was going up in his neighborhood, and when he wasn’t in his garage making house models that looked to unknowing eyes like science fiction, he would watch construction.
David G. De Long, PhD, an architect, professor, and author, has chaired graduate programs in historic preservation at Columbia University and the University of Pennsylvania, and was an associate of John Carl Warnecke & Associates, Architects and Planners. His books include Out of the Ordinary: Robert Venturi and Denise Scott Brown; Frank Lloyd Wright: Designs for an American Landscape; Louis I. Kahn: In the Realm of Architecture; and Bruce Goff: Toward Absolute Architecture. He has curated exhibitions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Canadian Centre for Architecture, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Denver Art Museum, among others.
