“Deco Distinction: The Many Facets of the Tulsa Club”

This exhibit looks at the history of the Tulsa Club and how members utilized not only its amenities but also the status that came with membership. Designed by Bruce Goff, the Tulsa Club building is an elegant example of art deco architecture that housed the Tulsa Club for sixty-one years. As one of the most exclusive city clubs in Tulsa, the Tulsa Club catered to the affluent members of society and the business community while upholding mid century societal norms.

Come see America’s longest-running play “The Drunkard” right here in Tulsa, Oklahoma. “The Drunkard” is an old time melodrama where the audience can participate in the fun. You and your friends can sit at a private table while you throw tomatoes at the villain, cheer on the hero, and sing along to some songs. Enjoy some of the Tulsa area’s finest talent in the “Olio” preceding the play.

This parafiction group show highlights contributions to the queer past, creative present and radical future of the region’s LGBTQ2S+ citizenry, including a Goff-inspired installation by filmmaker, Britni Harris.

Produced by local artists Zia and Trueson Daugherty, this public art display celebrates the contentious friendship and collaboration between Bruce Goff and Adah Robinson and their unique contributions to Tulsa’s cultural heritage. Guests at ahha Tulsa can contribute to this work of art with chalk and stencils provided by the museum.
